My name is Kate Williamson. I am the proprietor and creator of the Little Unicorn Day Nurseries and Little Herons Emergency Childcare Centre at Canary Wharf.

I qualified in 1991 and have worked continuously with children since then.

I would like to thank you for your enquiry about our workplace nurseries here on Canary Wharf, where we feel we have something for everybody in the different settings that we offer.

Little Unicorn Day Nursery Columbus Courtyard opened in May 1998 followed by Westferry Circus in January 2001. Our nursery in Canada Square was opened in June 2005. Bank Street opened in November 2007.

Our aim is to provide first class care for your children, with the aid of highly trained and qualified nursery staff. Each child is given individual care and attention to ensure they develop their own social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills within a caring and friendly environment.

Our many locations in Canary Wharf means that we are an International nursery caring for many children whose home language is not English.

Little Herons is our emergency centre, which opened in March 2003 and is where companies buy places for their staff to use in an emergency. If your company does not offer this scheme please contact us for more details.

If you would like more information, we recommend that you make an appointment to visit us and discuss the needs of you and your child, meet our staff, and see the children in the nursery environment. You may also meet other parents, and we are happy for you to seek their opinion.
